DahDerma respects your fundamental privacy rights and confidentiality of information provided by you to us. DahDermawill comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’). The following clauses describe how DahDerma processes your personal data, but they may not address all possible data processing scenarios.
By using this Site and providing information as a registered user, you agree with our privacy policy. We are not responsible for the breach of our privacy policy or other contents on a site other than https://dahderma.my
How We Collect & Use Your Personal Data
Personal data is defined under “the Act” as information that relates directly or indirectly to an identified or identifiable individual, linked or linkable to them by DahDerma. The personal data we collect include:
Name, Identity card/Passport No, Gender, Postal and Email addresses, phone number, login information (username and password), photos, films, portraits, video recordings of you, IP address, Personally Identifiable Information (PII) defined by international privacy laws or standards, etc.;
Information about your usage and how you interact with DahDerma. We also collect the information you provide to us and the content of messages you send us, such as the inquiry information you provide or the questions or information you provide for our support team;
Information From Third Parties
You may sign up through Facebook or Google account; however, please note that by signing up via Facebook or Google account, you authorize and allow us to collect your authentication information and any information available through your Facebook or Google account, including the following information:
- Facebook Connect-If you have a Facebook account, you can sign up using the “Facebook Connect” social plugin run by the Facebook social network, using what is known as Single Sign-On technology. You can find out the “Facebook Connect” social plugins on our website by the blue button with the Facebook logo and the inscription “Register with Facebook” or “Connect with Facebook” or “Log in with Facebook” or “Sign in with Facebook”.
- By signing up using Facebook account social plugins on our website, your browser directly connects to the Facebook servers. The plugin’s content is transferred from Facebook directly to your browser, which then embeds it into the website. Through the integrated plugin, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a Facebook server and stored there.
- It depends on your personal data protection settings on Facebook, as DahDerma will only receive general information that is publicly accessible and stored in your profile when you use the Facebook social plugins button. This information includes your user ID, name, profile picture, age and gender.
- We would also like to remind you that changes to Facebook’s privacy policy and terms of use may also result in the transfer of your profile pictures, your friends’ user IDs and your friend list if these have been marked as “public” in your Facebook privacy settings. We will store and process the data transmitted by Facebook to create a user account with the necessary data, provided you have approved this on Facebook (title, first name, surname, address details, country, email address, date of birth). Conversely, data (e.g. information on your surfing or purchasing behavior) may be transferred from us to your Facebook profile based on your consent.

- Google-You can sign up and log in to DahDerma using your Google account. When you sign up using Google, Google will ask your permission to share certain information from your Google account with DahDerma. This includes your Google email address, birthdate (optional), gender (optional), and avatar (optional). This information is collected by Google and is provided to us under Google’s Privacy Policy ( https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can regulate our information from Google using your Google activity controls.
Cookies
To ensure a smooth run and working of the Site, DahDerma may at times place a small piece of data known as a cookie on your computer or mobile device. A cookie is a text file stored by a web server on a computer or mobile device. The cookie’s content can be retrieved or read only by the server that creates the cookie. The main objective is to save time and improve user experiences. You may set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie. In certain instances, you may be able to opt not to disclose your personal data to DahDerma. However, not providing DahDerma with certain data may mean that we cannot provide you with certain information or services or respond to an issue you have raised.
For Donors making donations, your personal data to the extent that encompasses all personal elements likely to identify an individual will not be visible to the public, such as name, address, and date of birth.
Purposes of Collection of Personal Data
DahDerma may use your personal data for the following instances:

Any transaction requests, includingfulfilling and providing technical support;
Creation of an account;
Processing your personal data with your consent;
Contacting you with your consent;
Sending you important notices, such as updates to our Site or application;

This information is aggregated to measure the number of visitors, the time and length of your visit, the program you opted for on our Site, etc. This data collection may be used to understand how users use our websites and services so thatwe can improve our services and better user experience.
Disclosure of Personal Data
DahDermamay share your personal data with other support staff or organizers of programs, as described in this Policy, when services or activities are provided by support staff or organizers authorized by DahDerma. For example, we need to provide your personal data for services arrangement or organizers or support staff to provide relevant services.
DahDerma may also disclose your personal data to law enforcement or other government agencies only if in compliance with applicable laws or valid legal procedures.
DahDerma may also disclose your data to parties involved in processing your personal data only when appropriate, such as local or international Service Providers; Professional Advisors; Regulatory bodies; and Government authorities.
DahDerma may also disclose your data when appropriate, for example, when DahDerma believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate for executions of Terms and Conditions, or to prevent physical harm or financial loss, or when it is in connection with an investigation of suspectedor actual illegal activity.
DahDerma being an initiative by Digital Penang Sdn Bhd under the Penang state government, may also disclose and use non-personally identifiable information (Non-PII) to report to the Penang state government and any government linked companies (“GLC”) from time to time any statistical data and information which is aggregated to measure, including but not limited to the number of visitors, the time and length of your visit, the program you opted for on our Site, etc.
How to Access & Control Your Personal Data
All users are responsible for ensuring that all personal data is submitted to DahDerma correctly. DahDerma will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of personal data and keeping the data up-to-date.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may :
have the right to access certain personal data we maintain about you ;
request that we update or correct inaccuracies in that data ;
object or restrict our use of your personal data, and
request to withdraw any consent regarding your personal data processing given previously.
To exercise these rights, you may contact us for any updates. DahDermareserves the right to reject your request if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the request is fraudulent, unfeasible or may jeopardize the privacy of others.
How We Protect Your Personal Data
DahDerma acknowledges the importance of your data protection. DahDerma is committed to protecting your data; however, no security measure is perfect despite the greatest effort. We incorporate standard data security processing mechanisms and technology such as Firewall and SSLto ensure your online transaction is safe and secured.

We will retain your personal information that is no longer necessary for the purposes stated in this Policy, unless otherwise required or permitted by law. The data storage period may vary with necessary scenarios and services. The time required to retain personal data may vary depending on the consideration, such as fulfilling business purposes, including maintaining corresponding transactions and records; controlling and improving the performance and quality of services; ensuring the security of systems and services; handling possible user queries or complaints and locating problems and any other reasons not being contemplated but necessary for the smooth run of services provided to you.

Allow up to 2 weeks for the process to complete. You will be notified of it upon completion.
