Mutiara Food Bank, established in May 2017 by the Penang State Government, aims to reduce food waste and combat hunger. It collects surplus food from businesses and distributes it to underprivileged families, orphanages, elderly homes, and disaster-affected communities. The organization also promotes food security awareness and engages volunteers and corporate partners to support its mission.
